Round 5 Answers

  1. Barack Obama did it before he was President. Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton did it after their terms ended. Martin Luther King, Jr. did it after he died. What did they do?
    • There are two possible answers for this one.  The cooler one is that they all won Grammys for Best Spoken Word (Obama 2006, Carter 2007, Clinton 2005, MLK in 1972). They all also released autobiographies (or, in the case of MLK, had an autobiography released posthumously).  By the way, they all also received the Nobel Peace Prize except for Clinton.  Fun fact!
  2. What do these things have in common?
    • The company names are in honor of their founders’ children.
Wendy’s – the nickname of founder Dave Thomas’ daughter Melinda.
Robeez – named after the founder’s son Robbie.
Mercedes – from the first name of the daughter of Emil Jellinek
Dannon – the nickname of the founder’s first son Daniel (DAN-ONE)

  4. Name the movie:

  5. Because of a particularly embarrassing translation issue, where is Moses’ name changed to make him sound like a baseball bat?
    • Because “ΧΕΣΤΟΝ” in Greek means any number of scatalogical insults, depending on the translator, Charlton Heston (Moses in The Ten Commandments) is credited as “Charlton Easton” in Greek prints of his films.  Easton, of course is one of the most popular brands of baseball bats.
  6. Who are these people in my collection and why have I been searching for a James Spader bobblehead?

  7. What state can you make a trip to if you want to visit AJ#7, JP#11, and AJ#17?
    • You would go to Tennessee to visit the final resting places of Andrew Jackson, James Polk, and Andrew Johnson – our 7th, 11th, and 17th Presidents.
  8. If 66=WS, 87=PS, 93=AB, and 95=KM…what number equals SB?
