Now, FOR ONE POINT PER SONG name BOTH the ARTIST and TITLE of the TEN songs that make up the clip. THEN – for 2 BONUS points, send me a link to a YouTube video featuring a song that could be included in the theme of these clips, released in 2006 by a band with the same name as a family full of baddies from a 1980s movie. (Possible 12 Points total)
The songs, in order are:
The Smith’s – How Soon Is Now?
The Bangles – Walk Like an Egyptian
Paul Simon – Me & Julio Down by the School Yard
Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros – Home
Supertramp – Goodbye Stranger
Bobby McFerrin – Don’t Worry Be Happy
Peter, Bjorn & John – Young Folks
The J. Geil’s Band – Centerfold
Guns & Roses – Patience
Otis Redding – Sitting on the Dock of the Bay
I think everyone figured out the band was The Fratellis. Some, however didn’t figure out the theme that tied all of the songs together – “WHISTLING“. So only the players who sent YouTube links to “Whistle for the Choir” were given the bonus points.
- I just did an image search for a single word. For 2 POINTS, take a look below at some of the results that came back, and tell me what the word was. For 2 BONUS POINTS, explain how each of the 9 images is related to the search term.

Most of you figured out that the word was “MARION”. The bonus was a bit more tricky:
Marion “Shug” Knight
John Wayne (Born Marion Morrison)
Actress, Marion Cotillard
Marion Jones
John Gotti famously served time in Marion Federal Prison
The yellow shape is Marion County, Florida
Aerial photo of Marion Prison
Francis Marion University
And the one that messed up the most players – the background image is a screenshot of the opening title sequence from Happy Days, with Marion Ross – who played Marion Cunningham.

The Kaiser Chiefs took their name from the South African football club, Kaizer Chiefs. Their first #1 single was Ruby, and their bass player is Simon Rix….not Rex.
- There are three women who have something very specific in common. Their names were Mary, Iva, and Mildred. Mary came first and the other two joined her 84 years later. FOR 2 POINTS, what is their connection? They were all convicted of treason against the United States. - What is being communicated here? (4 POINTS)
This is the “hobo sign” for “The man who lives here has a gun.“
- FOR 2 POINTS, first figure out the actor who played a character who made a ‘special’ delivery from a father to his son. Then send me a link to a YouTube video of that actor moving awesomely through a hotel.
Who can forget this scene in Pulp Fiction? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kngBtoylIVM&feature=related
Here’s the video you had to send me to get credit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCDIYvFmgW8
- For 5 POINTS, tell me what city this is:
Atlanta, Georgia
- A father and son both sang about streets. The father seemed more sure about his. The son’s experience, a little over 30 years later, was apparently a sad one. FOR 3 POINTS name both men.Bob Dylan recorded Positively 4th Street in 1965. 6th Avenue Heartache was the first single on the 1996 album Bringing Down the Horse by The Wallflowers and their lead singer, Jakob Dylan.

Damn. I initially thought that was “Don’t Worry, Be Happy,” but I changed it. And the hobo code should have been fresh in my mind with all the “Mad Men” I’ve watched lately.
Dammit. I was remembering the cityscape picture from the preliminary round when I wrote down Boston. I know that’s not Boston.
Dan and I get profane over trivia mistakes.
I certainly understand the emotional response. Gosh dang it.
