You know how 42 is the answer to life the universe and everything? Well it’s also part of the answer to this question. Jackie Robinson’s number 42 was retired by the Dodgers in 1972. It was then retired by all 30 MLB teams in 1997. Then in 2006, the Cardinals retired Bruce Sutter’s number 42 – the only player other than Robinson to have #42 retired. What was the last song played for question 2?
“Beds are Burning” by Midnight Oil. Half-point bonus?
Half-double-secret-bonus point.
The songs from that question were:
Burning Down the House (The Talking Heads)
Gin & Juice (Snoop Dogg)
Don’t Stop Me Now (Queen)
Hot Blooded (Foreigner)
Miami (Will Smith)
Beds are Burning (Midnight Oil)
I knew all the songs, but overlooked the specific-temperature circumstance and went instead for the overall lyrical presence of heat, fire or smoke.
I originally thought it (the last song) was Radar Love and was confused, but then realized it wasn’t and kinda guessed on the specific temperature part hoping the last song had it too
I thought “burn/burning” was the constant and found a BNL song with that word in the lyrics. I’m such a fool.
Family Feud, the best gameshow ever..*
