I’m trying out an idea for a possible trivia night category. Have a look at this:

Add up the numbers associated with the five images and post the total in the comments. Also, let me know if you think something like this would work as a category.

I come up with 288.
I might like this category!
274
First off, I love the groan that would rise from the crowd when they see the word “Math” as the category.
From a visual perspective, you may have to limit it to three pictures. Some of those images would be difficult to see from the middle of the room.
I also like the idea that people could correctly identify all of the pictures and still be tripped up by a lack of basic math skills.
Overall, I think it’s a great category.
I know all of them save Jack Klugman’s group. Excellent idea.
288 … and yes, I think this is an awesome idea for a category.
288. This will work if you allow enough time for each table to get a good look. In other words, those not sitting close enough to the screen(s) will have a bit of difficulty.
288 it is.
227
+ 21 (Jump Street)
+ (Matchbox) 20
+ 12 (Angry Men)
+ 8 (Men Out)
= 288
Good job, all. I’ll go ahead and flesh this out for one of the two events I’m writing for this month. I’ve actually done something similar before, but with movies only. I’ll post it here soon.
Wow, if I were more up on my crappy music I would have known it was Matchbox “20″ and not Matchbox “whatever number it was I added.”
